With visual storytelling at his core, as a director, writer, producer and shooter, Matt’s experience ranges across film and commercials to music videos and game design. He is also an experienced editor and vfx artist.

Growing up in the far southern reaches of New Zealand, his narrative work embodies a reverence for adventure and the wild unknown, mixed with a love of old school genre cinema.

His short film work has screened at multiple international film festivals and attained millions of views online. His most recent short films, the sci-fi western THE BALLAD OF MADDOG QUINN and the dark fantasy tale RIVEN, both premiered in competition at the SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, Spain.
